“I think this is what life forms call excitement’,” said G8-P3, jiggling from one tread to the other.

XD4 bleeped, then looked around at the astromech droid. “What are you talking about?”

G8-P3 waddled on the spot again, then spun his dome. “I am accompanying a rebel mission to the Unknown Regions today. I expect I’ll be needed to navigate their ship.”

*bleep*

“We will probably have to infiltrate a First Order base. I’ll scomp into the enemy supercomputer, and guide our heroes through their mission.”

*bleep, bleep*

Just then, a human voice broke through the conversation from out in the corridor. “Gee eight, come here. We need you to project a star map.”

XD4 sniggered in binary as his companion moved away. “A very heroic data projector, I’m sure.”

G8-P3 whirled his dome again, pausing before the corridor. “And after that, they’ll brief me on the mission. I can’t wait!”

“And then, gee eight,” added the human voice, “you’d better head down to maintenance. There’s more data projection needing done tomorrow.”
